Pueblo Gardens Elementary was selected as a new focus school in the summer of 2015. The school serves approximately 430 PreK-8 students. Nestled in the heart of Pueblo Gardens neighborhood, the SRTS-sponsored activities have been focused on using biking and walking as a way to connect families and neighbors. Community events at the school draw lots of enthusiasm from families and neighbors, and in Fall 2016 neighbors and families designed and painted large intersection murals for their school (watch this, read here, and check out these photos to learn more about the Playful Gardens project). Bike repair clinics continue to be extremely popular and are scheduled regularly throughout the year. Last year, the school successfully kicked-off an after school bike club for middle school students and is continuing efforts to expand the club.
